The required items for obtaining a Building Permit are:
Note that incomplete applications may be denied and returned. Allow up to 30 days for approval or denial of a commercial permit or 15 days for approval or denial of a residential permit. 24 hours notice is required for any inspections. A Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Plan may need to be submitted if it meets the criteria set forth by Township Ordinance.
A permit is required for installing a shed. 1 shed is permitted per residential property. Place the shed 6 feet from all property lines. A shed may be placed in the rear or side yard of a property. If you live on a corner lot, you are considered to have 2 front yards and 2 side yards; you do not have a rear yard. Therefore, on the street side, you must set your shed back at least 40 feet from the property line. A shed may not be larger than 225 square feet (e.g., 14 feet by 16 feet).
