Police Department Promotion and New Officer

Police Department Promotion and New Officer:

On Friday July 31, 2020, West Goshen Police Department promoted Wesley Holman to Sergeant, filling in the vacancy made after the retirement of 40-year veteran Sergeant Anthony Storti. Also, filling the rank and file, William Cuddhy
was hired as a patrol officer.

This promotion is maintaining a Supervisory Structure that ensures the residents of West Goshen Township a department of exemplary leadership! We have top quality people that are willing, and more importantly, prepared, to take on the challenges of the future.

Sergeant Holman has been with West Goshen PD since 2006. Prior to coming to West Goshen he was a police officer for 5 years in Birmingham Twp. and West Brandywine Twp. He is assigned to the patrol division and will assume the responsibilities of patrol Sergeant. Sergeant Holman is an EMT, having served this community for several years with the Goodfellowship Ambulance Company. He is also a life member of the West Chester Fire Department and is West Goshen’s First Aid/CPR/AED instructor. He is certified in CIT (Crisis Intervention), and is an instructor as well. He is also a coordinator for the Chester County CISM team, which assists police officers and all first responders in dealing with personal and professional crises.
He has an Associate’s Degree from Temple University.

Wes is married to Kim and they have three children, Walker, Savannah and Colton.

****************

Officer William Cuddhy began his law enforcement career in 2007 with the East Lansdowne Police Department but has worked for the Upper Darby Police Department since 2012. Bill worked in patrol for 3 years and has been assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division for the past 5 years. During his tenure with the Upper Darby Police Department, Bill has received numerous letters of commendation for his actions, his compassion, his work ethic and he can brag that he helped in the delivery of a healthy baby girl as well. To attest to his character, a former Captain of Bill, who is now a Chief in another agency, wrote me a letter when he heard Bill had applied. He had not seen Bill in over a year, but felt so strongly about Bill’s character, compassion and respect that he shows for everyone he deals with, he felt compelled to write an unsolicited letter of support for Bill.

Bill is married to Lisa and they have a one-year old son, Kip.

Magisterial District Justice Martin Goch administered the Oaths of Office to our Honorees.
