Originally from Chester County near Longwood Gardens, Assistant Township Supervisor Jaime Jilozian, AICP, is happy to be close to her hometown now that she is working for West Goshen Township. Working closeby in the County for several years, Jaime was looking for a new opportunity in career growth and has come back to the area joining West Goshen as the new Assistant Township Manager and Zoning Officer.
Jamie is no stranger to government having spent 6 years working for Chester County at the government services center. She first worked in the Department of Community Development and then in the Planning Commission Department. She then spent three years in Middletown Township as their planner prior to this new role as the West Goshen Township Assistant Manager.
In her previous positions, Jaime was involved in zoning as she is now at West Goshen as the Zoning Officer. With both of her Assistant Township Manager and Zoning Officer roles currently, she emphasizes the importance of resident engagement and how with her previous experience as a professional planner, listening to resident feedback comes as second nature to her.
“As a zoning officer, you are very heavily involved with the residents. As a Planner you are involved in a different level. You are looking at the long range planning for a community.”
Jaime has an affinity for the West Chester area and the uniqueness of West Goshen. With a mix of business, commercial, industrial and residential, she feels that it is a community that has literally something to offer for everybody. With that, there comes a strong Township Administration that Jaime is excited to work with.
“I am excited to learn more about how things are run. There is a lot of complexity here in West Goshen with a large staff and a lot of departments. I am learning about the huge amount of resources and how it all works together to keep it working efficiently.”
Jaime would like residents to know that in her new position she will do everything she can to help the residents of the township in both of her roles.
“I'm happy to be working in West Goshen Township and looking forward to serving the residents of this great community to the best of my ability.”
Jaime currently lives in Haverford Township in Bryn Mawr with her husband and her two children. We welcome Jaime back to West Goshen Township in her new roles!
