A favorite West Goshen tradition, the Decorated Bicycle Parade, returns to West Goshen Community Park on Saturday, July 3rd at 10:00 AM. Children can decorate their bicycles, tricycles, training wheels, Big Wheels, wagons, strollers, and wheelchairs in patriotic themes and parade them around the park. Prizes will be awarded to best decorated winners. All participants will receive a commemorative medal.
Participants MUST reside in West Goshen Township. Anyone on a bicycle must wear a helmet. The West Goshen Park and Recreation Department reminds parents to make sure decorations do not block children’s views or pose any danger of tangling with their bikes or bodies. In compliance with CDC guidelines, facemasks are optional for participants.
Anyone interesting in participating is asked to email the West Goshen Park and Recreation Department at klehr@westgoshen.org with the family’s name and address and the number of participants in each category (bikes, tricycles and Big Wheels, training wheels, wagons and strollers, or wheelchairs).
The Decorated Bicycle Parade is FREE OF CHARGE. Participants are encouraged to bring dry good items (e.g., soap, toilet paper, diapers, laundry detergent, toothpaste, etc.) for the West Chester Food Cupboard.
In the event of rain, the Decorated Bicycle Parade would be postponed until Sunday, July 4th at 10:00 AM. Visit www.wesgoshen.org or call 610-696-5266 on July 3rd between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM for rain determination.
