The West Goshen Police Department accepts resumes for the position of "Police Officer" on a continual basis.

Anyone interested in submitting a resume and cover letter can drop it off at the Police Department, Monday through Friday between 8 am and 4 pm. They can also be mailed by post or submitted by email.

Minimum Standards

Candidates shall meet the following minimum standards:

  1. Free of any felony or serious misdemeanor convictions
  2. Citizen of the United States
  3. At least 21 years of age
  4. Fingerprinted for local, state and national fingerprint check
  5. Good moral character as determined by a thorough background investigation
  6. Be a high school graduate or possess a GED equivalency
  7. Free from any physical, emotional or mental condition which might adversely affect the exercise of police powers as determined through the testing specified in 37 PA Code § 203.11
  8. Free of illegal use of controlled substances as determined by approved laboratory testing
  9. A valid Pennsylvania driver's license
  10. Must be Act 120 certified
  11. Candidates must also satisfy the minimum physical fitness standards as specified in the following tabs:
