1. The meeting was Called to Order by Jeff Laudenslager with the PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG.
2. The Floor was Opened for Public Comment. There was none. The Chairman wished everyone a Merry Christmas.
3. Bob Little was named voting member in the absence of Dean Diehl.
4. Initial Submissions
A. Land Development Plan for 13 residential townhouse units for the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County, Inc.
located at 105 Garfield Avenue. Digital photographs and projections of the plan were displayed on the wall. This is the plan located where public transportation and food shopping is
available. The Zoning is C-2. Jim O'Brien will organize a Commercial Committee to study the tract.
B. Land Development Plan for an 11,000 sq. ft. flex space warehouse and office for Sha-nic, Inc. located at 716 East
Nields Street. The Plan shows three lease areas, three loading docks and an underground retention basin.
5. COMMITTEE REPORTS AND INFORMATION
There were discussions about the recent articles in the Philadelphia Inquirer concerning air space over
residential properties and the new aircraft business called "Secure Flight" which is building a new hangar and office space.
6. The Floor was Opened for Public Comment.
Robin Murlless wanted to discuss the recent article in the newspapers about the police target practice at the rifle
range. The practice is mandatory and necessary in these times of uncertainity. Complaints about the Sewage Treatment Plant are in the same category as the rifle range complaints. When one
is about to purchase a property, perhaps a drive around the block would enlighten a buyer of the environs and possible activities in the neighborhood.
Bob Little asked if mail addressed to the Commissioners could be forwarded to his house. Keeping it for the
Packet for the meeting has caused him to miss two invitations in the past month. Jeff Laudenslager said it had been his distinct honor and privilege to have served as Chairman of the Planning Commission
for the past two years. He wished everyone Happy Holidays.
7. MOTION: To adjourn the meeting at 7:30 PM. ACTION: Spiegel/Little (7-0).
Respectfully submitted,
Nancy Boothe Higgins, Secretary
