A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors of West Goshen Township was called to order by Chairman Patricia B. McIlvaine at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at the West Goshen Township Administration Building. All members were present. Ms. McIlvaine opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Ms. McIlvaine opened the floor for public comment.

Mrs. Evelyn Baker, 900 Sheridan Drive, questioned the change in the Township Building business hours and days without a vote by the Board of Supervisors. Mr. Casey LaLonde, Township Manager, explained that it was an administrative change made by him. He added that the number of hours the building is open has been increased. Ms. McIlvaine stated that the change is intended to save money on energy costs and Mr. Casey added that the Township expects a 30% increase on such costs after December 31, 2010 because of the expiration of price caps on PECO.

On motion by Dr. White, seconded by Mr. Meakim, the Board unanimously approved the Board of Supervisors minutes from February 18, 2009.

On motion by Mr. Meakim, seconded by Dr. White, the Board unanimously approved the Treasurer's Report dated February 28, 2009 for the General Fund, the Sewer Revenue Fund, the Waste and Recycling Fund, and the Capital Reserve Fund, as well as the bills to be paid from the General Fund, the Sewer Fund, the Capital Reserve Fund, and the Waste and Recycling Fund.

Capt. Joseph Gleason gave the Police Report for the month of February 2009.

Mrs. Baker asked how many of the 57 alarms in the Police Report were valid and Capt. Gleason replied that 12 were valid.

Ms. Andrea Testa, Fire Marshal, gave the Fire Marshal Report for the month of February 2009. Reports for Good Fellowship Ambulance Company and Goshen Fire Company were not available.

Mr. Edward Hunger, Building Official, gave the Building Inspection Activity Report for February 2009.

Ms. McIlvaine opened the floor for further public comment. No comments were made.

There being no further business, on motion by Ms. McIlvaine, seconded by Mr. Meakim, the meeting was adjourned at 4:16 p.m.

    Respectfully submitted,

    Sandra K. Turley
    Township Secretary
