On motion by Ms. McIlvaine, seconded by Mr. Meakim, the Board unanimously approved awarding the bid
to Godwin Pumps pending a review of the bid.
Prior to the consideration of the possible approval of Ordinance 12-2006 amending the West Goshen
Township Revised Zoning Ordinance of 1990, as amended, to comply with the National Flood Insurance Program and the Pennsylvania Flood Plain Management Act, Ms. Camp introduced the following exhibits:
B1 – Letter from the Department of Community and Economic Development with
recommendations of amendment changes to bring the Township Code into compliance with the National Flood Insurance Program B2 – Proof of Publication in the Daily Local News
B3 – Filing with the Daily Local News B4 – Filing with the Chester County Law Library
B5 – Review by the Chester County Planning Commission B6 – Review by the Chester County Planning Commission
B7 – Review by the West Goshen Township Planning Commission
On motion by Dr. White, seconded by Ms. McIlvaine, the Board unanimously approved Ordinance 12-2006 amending the West Goshen Township Revised Zoning Ordinance of 1990, as amended, which is codified in Chapter 84 of the West Goshen Township Code, to comply with the National Flood Insurance Program and the Pennsylvania Flood Plain Management Act, Act 166 of 1978, which is codified in 32 P.S. Section 679.101 Et. Seq.
On motion by Dr. White, seconded by Ms. McIlvaine, the Board unanimously approved Resolution
25-2006, establishing the 2007 Financial Requirements and the Minimum Municipal Obligations for all three pension plans.
On motion by Dr. White, seconded by Mr. Meakim, the Board unanimously approved Resolution 26-2006,
distributing funds received from the Commonwealth to the three Township pension plans.
Mrs. Baker asked how the pension funds were invested and Dr. White explained that there is a
Pension Committee made up of residents, three of whom are stockbrokers and two who are Certified Professional Accountants, who along with Township staff, review the pensions quarterly and make
recommendations for investments.
Dr. White opened the floor for public comment.
Ms. Cheryl Ardin, a resident of the West Chester Commons at 230 E. Rosedale Avenue and a student at
West Chester University, thanked the Board for their approval of the West Chester Commons. She invited the Supervisors to attend the pep rally and homecoming parade which are to be held by the
University on September 29 and 30, 2006.
There being no further business, on motion by Dr. White, seconded by Mr. Meakim, the meeting was
adjourned at 4:31 p.m.
