WEST GOSHEN TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING May 12, 2004
A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors of West Goshen Township was called to order by Chairman Patricia B. McIlvaine at 3:59 p.m. on
Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at the West Goshen Township Administration Building. All members were present. Ms. McIlvaine opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
Ms. McIlvaine opened the floor for public comment. No comments were made.
Dr. White announced that the Board of Supervisors met in executive session on April 28, 2004 to discuss real estate and legal matters.
On motion by Mr. Meakim, seconded by Ms. McIlvaine, the Board unanimously approved the Board of Supervisors minutes from April 14 and April 28,
2004.
On motion by Dr. White, seconded by Mr. Meakim, the Board unanimously approved the Treasurer's Report dated April 30, 2004 for the General Fund,
the Sewer Revenue Fund, the Waste and Recycling Fund, and the Capital Reserve Fund, as well as the bills to be paid from the General Fund, the Sewer Fund, the Capital Reserve Fund, and the Waste and
Recycling Fund.
Lt. Joseph Gleason gave the Police Report for the month of April 2004.
Mr. Ralph Brown, Fire Marshal, gave the Fire Marshal Report for the month of April 2004. Mr. Brown also gave the report for Goshen Fire
Company and Good Fellowship Ambulance.
Mr. Richard E. Hicks, Building Official, gave the Building Inspection Activity Report for April 2004.
Ms. McIlvaine opened the floor for public comment.
Mr. William Donohue, 219 Long Lane, asked what the Township plans were for Act 45, which mandates a statewide building code. Mr. Hicks replied
that the Township will be opting in and will adopt the International Building Code, 2003 Edition, at the Board of Supervisors meeting on May 26, 2004. Mr. Donohue asked if the Township would be
using third parties for electrical inspections and Mr. Hicks said the Township would be using third parties. Mr. Donohue stated that he is an electrical inspector with Commonwealth Code Inspection
Service, Inc., and would like to have the Township consider using his services as an inspector. He presented a packet containing his credentials for Mr. Richard J. Craig, Township Engineer, to
review.
There being no further business, on motion by Mr. Meakim, seconded by Ms. McIlvaine, the meeting was adjourned at 4:06 p.m.
