Occasionally, I will see colored markings along the road. What do these markings signify?

The following markings are for underground utilities:

Blue: water
Green: sewer
Orange: communications/cable television
Pink: temporary survey markings
Purple: reclaimed water, irrigation and slurry lines
Red: electric
White: proposed excavation
Yellow: gas / oil

1. Do we have fluoride in our water?: The water for the Township is serviced by Aqua PA, which fluoridates its water. If you would like further information, please call Aqua PA at 877-987-2782.

3. Does the Township have any ordinances regarding barking dogs?: The West Goshen Township Code prohibits continuous barking by dogs. Please see the Township’s Code on Barking Dogs to learn more.

4. Who do I have to contact before digging on my property?: Call the Pennsylvania One Call system at 811, 3 to 10 business days before starting large excavation projects, such as those that require powered equipment. Visit the Pennsylvania 811 website for more information.
